What's Blooming Today?

Some parts of the back yard have managed to survive the puppies. Much has not. I left some of these in high resolution so if you click on the picture it will magically get bigger. I LOVE my little Canon Elf camera!!

House warming 2007 Hibiscus These are in the front yard cuz they taste good to puppies!!

They are such a deep red in the a.m. and by afternoon the sun has faded them just a bit. The blooms are about 5" diameter. Gorgeous!!!

Tiger Lily that my 80 something botanist-neighbor gave me last year to plant. I won't show you his yard full of blooming roses and potted dahlias.

The lilies are even surviving the encroachment of the dog house. There are some growing between the garage and my neighbor's yard that are just bright and cheery!!

Tea, anyone? One of the few Echinacae that have survived Hoss' leg lifting. I moved several to the front yard, they aren't looking very well so far.

This is called 'showy evening primrose', I think. It is great ground cover and blooms last a long time.

What's gonna bloom next week?

Probably not the grapes yet. But they are finally taking off

The Hostas are doing thier thing behind the garage.

This one's for you, Devin. Let's say it together:

STRAWPT GRAY-ASS

Apparently even Hoss can't kill it.
